KUDOKE GmbH is an independent German watchmaking house founded by master watchmaker Stefan Kudoke and based in Weifa, Saxony. Established as his own brand in 2008, KUDOKE has developed a distinctive identity around traditional handcraft, hand engraving and skeletonisation. Its philosophy is rooted in preserving historic watchmaking techniques while interpreting them through contemporary mechanical watches. The brand's two principal families are KUNSTwerk, focused on artistic skeletonised and engraved timepieces, and HANDwerk, which applies traditional watchmaking craft to more classically styled watches. KUDOKE developed its own KALIBER 1 movement, which powers the HANDwerk collection and incorporates hand-finishing and Kudoke's characteristic infinity symbol. The brand has twice received the GPHG Petite Aiguille Award, first for KUDOKE 2 in 2019 and later for KUDOKE 3 Salmon.
Stefan Kudoke is the founder, master watchmaker and creative force behind KUDOKE. He completed his German master-watchmaker qualification at a young age and subsequently gained experience with prestigious Swiss and German watch companies, including Glashütte Original, Breguet and Blancpain. In 2008, he decided to establish his own independent watchmaking brand, initially becoming known for highly artistic hand-skeletonised and engraved watches. His philosophy has always emphasised preserving traditional craftsmanship and developing exceptional mechanical objects in very small quantities. After more than a decade focused on skeletonisation, he expanded the brand with the HANDwerk collection and developed KALIBER 1, his first proprietary movement.
Stefan Kudoke is also the Managing Director (Geschäftsführer) of KUDOKE GmbH. The company's official press material identifies him as Geschäftsführer, while recent company material describes Stefan and his wife Ev Kudoke as running the small family business in Weifa. The manufacture operates with a small team and moved into new production premises in 2023. Ev Kudoke is closely involved in the company's administration and communication, while Stefan remains responsible for the watchmaking and creative direction.
