Beaucroft Watches is a British independent watch brand based in Cambridge, England, founded by friends Karim Faisali and Matt Herd. The company emerged from their shared passion for mechanical watches, design and the idea of creating well-made timepieces that could be enjoyed beyond traditional luxury-watch price points. Since launching in 2020, Beaucroft has developed a distinctive design language inspired by Cambridge's architecture, engineering heritage and scientific culture. Its signature teardrop emblem takes inspiration from the architectural surround of the famous King's College clock, while layered dials, sculpted cases and expressive colours give the watches a contemporary character. Collections have included the Senate, Signature and Element, alongside newer GMT models such as the Contour GMT and Solaris GMT. Beaucroft watches are designed in Cambridge and hand-assembled and regulated in Great Britain through its in-house Loupe Works operation.
Karim Faisali and Matt Herd co-founded Beaucroft Watches from a long-standing friendship and complementary professional backgrounds. Faisali brought experience in brand building, product development and entrepreneurship, together with a lifelong fascination with watches and their emotional connection to family and legacy. Herd, a product designer and engineer, approached watchmaking from a design and technical perspective, becoming increasingly interested in mechanical watch construction and eventually deciding that the best way to create his ideal watch was to design one himself. Together, they transformed their shared interest into Beaucroft, initially developing hundreds of design iterations before launching the brand. Their philosophy centres on purposeful design, mechanical craftsmanship, comfort and creating watches that remain relevant beyond short-lived trends.
