Hong Kong — PHYSIR WATCH has officially launched its debut timepiece on Kickstarter, offering watch enthusiasts an independently developed mechanical watch designed by founder Andrew Cheung, a physics teacher from Hong Kong and a watch collector with nearly two decades of experience.

The PHYSIR WATCH campaign starts at HK$6,780 with free worldwide shipping, representing a saving of HK$3,200, approximately 32% off the planned future retail price. VAT and import duties are not included.

At the heart of the watch is a Grade 5 titanium, in-house designed case, paired with a Swiss SW200 automatic movement offering approximately 40 hours of power reserve. The design also features a skeleton rotor, genuine leather strap with quick-release spring bars, 30M water resistance and an individually numbered piece. Each watch comes with a one-year international warranty.

The Kickstarter package includes one PHYSIR WATCH, an additional leather strap, two acrylic display stands, a nano-fiber cleaning cloth, a precision test card and a warranty card. Backers will be able to confirm their preferred watch and strap selections through a post-campaign survey.

For Cheung, PHYSIR WATCH represents more than the launch of another watch. After nearly 20 years of collecting watches, he wanted to create something of his own—an object that could connect his background in physics and education with his appreciation for mechanical watchmaking.

His vision is centered on creating a timepiece that can endure over time while bringing together people who share an appreciation for thoughtful design, precision and horology.
