Möels & Co

Möels & Co is an independent designer watch brand founded by Betina Menescal, a London-based entrepreneur and designer who set out to offer an alternative to conventional watch aesthetics. Operating under the parent company Madman & Fatman, the brand combines contemporary minimalism with mid-century design influences, creating watches distinguished by geometric cases, carefully proportioned dials and distinctive colour treatments. Its first major design, the Möels 528, introduced an unconventional rectangular case and an asymmetric dial influenced by the golden ratio. The collection subsequently evolved into the 528 S2, while the 369 offers another interpretation of the brand’s design language. Möels & Co emphasises creativity, accessibility and originality, with Swiss mechanical movements and final assembly in Switzerland. Its approach positions the brand at the intersection of British design, international manufacturing and contemporary independent horology.

Founder — Betina Menescal

Betina Menescal is the founder and Head of Design at Möels & Co. Her entrepreneurial journey began in 2019, during the COVID-19 lockdown period, while she was studying architecture at the University of Westminster in London. Working from a small studio, she began exploring product concepts that eventually inspired her to establish Madman & Fatman, an independent umbrella company intended to develop multiple creative brands. Möels & Co became its first watch brand. Menescal leads research and development, product design, packaging, web design, photography and the overall visual identity of the company. Her design philosophy prioritises originality, clean lines, durability and accessibility, with the goal of creating watches that feel distinctive without relying on traditional luxury-brand conventions.
