WRISTONOMY: THE WATCH STAND

The Watch Stand | Swedish Luxury Watch Storage Design

The Watch Stand is a Stockholm-based Swedish design company specializing in premium watch-display and storage solutions for collectors and enthusiasts. The concept originated in late 2017, when watch enthusiast Soran Gameel searched for an elegant place to rest his watch when it was not being worn and found nothing that met his expectations. He began sketching his own solution and developed the idea with his friend and business partner Jens Åman. The company was established in 2018 and introduced a distinctive stand combining a solid stone or marble base, metal stem and padded watch cushion. Its products are designed to keep a frequently worn watch safely accessible while also functioning as interior-design objects. The Watch Stand has since expanded into single and double watch stands, watch rolls and related accessories, with its designs protected through intellectual-property registrations.

Brand Founders — Soran Gameel & Jens Åman

Soran Gameel and Jens Åman are the founding figures behind The Watch Stand. Gameel conceived the original idea after struggling to find an appropriate place to put his watch when taking it off. He created initial sketches and presented them to Åman, who recognized the potential of the concept and joined him in developing it. Their first watch stands emerged in late 2017, with the company formally established in 2018. The founders focused on combining practical watch protection with an object that could stand comfortably within a refined interior. After the initial launch, Amar joined the business, bringing marketing and social-media expertise that helped expand the company's reach.
