Rpaige Watches is an independent American watch company founded and operated by fourth-generation watchmaker Richard Paige and headquartered in Honolulu, Hawaii. Rather than following conventional luxury-watch production, Rpaige builds distinctive mechanical watches around restored antique and vintage American pocket-watch movements, particularly Elgin and Waltham calibres. The brand's designs draw heavily on Art Deco, aviation, industrial design and American architectural history, resulting in highly individual watches that often exist as limited editions or one-of-a-kind pieces. Its signature Wrocket concept combines the dimensions and character of a pocket-watch movement with a modern wristwatch case, while other creations include reversible DuoFace models, the Art Deco-inspired Skyscraper and Chrysler Building watches, and historically themed pieces such as the Aviator 1944. Rpaige's philosophy is centred on preserving mechanical history while reinterpreting it through original case, dial and artistic design.
Richard Paige is a fourth-generation watchmaker whose career spans traditional watch retail, horology education, online watch communities and independent watch design. He founded several prominent watch stores in California, with Paris 1925 in San Francisco becoming his signature establishment. Paige later founded TimeZone.com, one of the world's best-known online communities for watch enthusiasts, and used the platform to develop and sell several limited-edition watches. His interest in vintage horology eventually led him to create Rpaige Watch Co., where antique American pocket-watch movements became the foundation for new mechanical designs. His work combines his family's watchmaking heritage with a strong interest in Art Deco, historical objects, architecture and unconventional watch construction.
