Golby Watches

Golby Watches | British Microbrand Inspired by Cornwall

Golby Watches is a British independent microbrand founded by husband-and-wife duo Craig and Sarah Golby, creating colourful and practical mechanical watches inspired by the Cornish coastline. Based in Solihull in the Midlands, the small family-run business combines British design with accessible mechanical watchmaking and small-batch production. Its watches are defined by bold colour combinations, textured oil-pressed dials and functional details designed for everyday use. The Aquareef introduced a distinctive dual-time concept using an internal rotating chapter ring, while the Coastal refined the brand's identity into a compact 36mm tool watch with 200-metre water resistance, a sapphire bezel insert and a Miyota 90S5 automatic movement. In 2026, Golby expanded its collection with the Skipping Stone, continuing its emphasis on colour, practicality and coastal inspiration. The company also produces a wide range of watch straps and accessories.

Founders — Craig & Sarah Golby

Craig and Sarah Golby founded Golby Watches as a husband-and-wife team, building the company around their shared enthusiasm for watches, design and the coast. Craig is the public-facing founder and has discussed the brand's development, design philosophy and future direction in specialist watch interviews, while Sarah is closely involved in the family business. Their approach is deliberately different from conventional luxury watchmaking: Golby focuses on British-designed microbrand watches, small-batch production, expressive colours and useful everyday functionality. The family connection extends into the products themselves—the Coastal's caseback, for example, features original line artwork created by their niece Caitlyn.
